Nakia Sanford, President
Nakia Sanford is a former professional basketball player who is passionate about giving back to her community. Her mission is to give young people the tools they need to live mentally, emotionally and physically healthy lives through her non-profit programs. As a money management coach, her mission is to impact generations of families by teaching financial literacy. She is a District Leader with Primerica.
Alan Harp, Vice President
Alan Harp is the owner/designer/maker at Alan Harp Design specializing in custom furniture, furniture restorations and design consulting. He strives to live by the company motto of “… because what you want doesn’t exist.. yet” by providing specialized design and crafting of unique furniture pieces and restorations of treasured family heirlooms. His custom work has been shown at numerous national design exhibitions and featured in various national publications.
Prior to creating Alan Harp Design, Mr. Harp served as the furniture design and CNC instructor at the Advanced Wood Products Laboratory (AWPL) at Georgia Tech’s College of Architecture. While at AWPL, thirty five of his Georgia Tech students’ pieces were selected as finalists in the AWFS and IWF student design competitions and displayed in other national competitions.
Mr. Harp is a graduate of Georgia Tech with a BS and MS degree in Industrial Design. His Master’s degree project focused on CNC production of solid wood furniture. He has lived in Lilburn for over 20 years and has a son who is attending University of North Georgia and a daughter attending Parkview.

Jim Stanhouse, Treasurer
Jim has lived in Gwinnett County for about 25 years and is originally from upstate New York. He is a fee-only CFP™ professional and started his business in 2009 after many years in the world of IT. Jim holds a BBA degree in accounting, an MBA in information systems, and a CFP certificate. He is an active member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA), and the Garrett Planning Network, both premier associations of fee-only planners.
One of his favorite volunteer activities is being a member of Clark Howard’s Consumer Action Center - answering consumer questions on personal finance and many other topics.
Jim, his wife Debbie and 9 year old daughter are active in the Great Pyrenees Rescue of Atlanta organization and have adopted two dogs Snowflake and Flurry.

Sandra Waldrop, PhD, Secretary
Sandra Miller Waldrop grew up in Greenville, SC. She has BS and PhD degrees in Chemistry from Furman University and Emory University, respectively. She spent 16 years doing medical research at the Emory University School of Medicine. She completed certificate programs in Web Design and Development from Emory Continuing Education. She started her company InSite To Web in 2007 and consults primarily on web projects that involve databases such as shopping carts and content management systems. She and husband Jeff (a software engineer) have 2 sons that graduated from Parkview HS, one has graduated Ga Tech and the other attends Georgia Gwinnett College. She enjoys playing her violin in a community orchestra and participating in her church's bell and chancellor choirs.

A Lilburn resident for over 30 years. Dan has held senior level executive positions at Fortune companies such as Hewlett Packard, EMC Corporation, Ciena Networks and Dell. As a board member Dan uses his experience to bring in topics that assist LBA businesses and the community in gaining knowledge that will allow them to thrive and prosper.
Karen J.Harris is the Manager of the Lilburn Branch of the Gwinnett County Public Library. She has worked for the Gwinnett County Library system for 20 years and in the field of Librarianship for 40+ years. Karen's career has included work in Children's Services, Film Librarianship, Library Radio and Television, Library Management, Training/staff development and serving diverse population. She enjoys working on teams and developing programs for various segments of the library customer service community.
A full-time resident of the unincorporated Gwinnett/Lilburn area since 1992, Patty Gabilondo has distinguished herself as a tireless and respected community leader. After retiring from a successful career as a corporate supply chain and procurement executive, where she received several professional designations from UCLA, Georgia Tech and the Institute of Supply Management, she became a tourist in her own town shared many of her newfound experiences in researching and writing articles focusing on public safety issues, community needs and advocating for small local businesses and their owners. Patty is passionate about supporting local business owners and residents through community improvement programs and activities.
